Sharon Osbourne Publicizes her Weight Problems
Sharon Osbourne, wife of celebrity and rocker Ozzie Osbourne, has brought her struggles with weight problems into the open by disclosing her inability to deal with food issues, in an interview to People magazine. The 54-year old had a gastric band inserted into her stomach in 1999, but plans to have it removed in order to deal with her weight problems more effectively.
In her revealing interview to the magazine, Sharon Osbourne stated that she wanted to deal with her eating problems head on ? through psychotherapy. While the gastric band was effective in helping her lose 125 pounds in the past six years, Osbourne was having serious problems following the healthy diet required by gastric band users to eat. Instead, she has disclosed that she has been stuffing herself with detrimental, fattening foods such as French fries and chocolate and has picked up 15 pounds in the past few months.
The public got to know Sharon Osbourne when she featured with her wild and wacky family on MTV?s reality show, ?The Osbournes?. Ozzie, Sharon and their three children, Aimee, 23, Kelly, 21 and Jack, 20 became house hold names as viewers watched the trials and tribulations of this famous family struggling with everyday issues in their own unique way. Sharon Osbourne has promised herself and her children that she will deal with her eating issues correctly and face up to the fact that she has a problem.
