George Michael Lights up a Joint Live
British pop singer, George Michael, has made headlines again. This controversial artist, who is forever getting his name in the media for all sorts of wrongdoings, has irked anti-drug campaigners around the world. According to network personnel, George Michael lavishly praised the drug, marijuana, and even lit up a joint while giving an interview on a pre-recorded ITV show.
Essentially, George Michael did nothing illegal when he smoked the joint of marijuana while being interviewed for British network television, ITV?s art program, ?The South Bank Show?. The show was taped in Madrid, Spain where marijuana consumption is legal, however, entertainment watchers are afraid that the pro-drug message will have a negative impact on British youth who will get to watch the show when it is aired on October 31st. George Michael is quoted as saying during the interview: ?This stuff keeps me sane and happy.?
The 43-year old singer, and former half of the famous 80?s duo, ?Wham!? has been caught before being in the possession of marijuana. Last month, British authorities gave him a formal warning when they found him stoned and slumped over the steering wheel of his car in London, making it his second warning this year. Theoretically, marijuana users can face up to two years in English prisons, but are usually let off with a formal warning if only a small amount is found in their possession.
