Anna Nicole Smith Denies Daughter Paternity Test
Anna Nicole Smith?s attorney recently stated that the entertainment reality television star has refused to submit her 6-week old daughter for a paternity test as demanded by her ex-boyfriend. A lawsuit, which was filed by Larry Birkhead, a photographer, is seeking a court order to force Smith to bring the girl to California for a DNA test. Currently, a birth certificate lists her companion, Howard K. Stern, as the father of her newborn baby girl, Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern.
?We?re going to get that paternity test. It may not be today, it may not be tomorrow, but I?m not going away,? said Debra Opri, an attorney for Birkhead. She will be traveling to the Bahamas to take depositions from Smith and Stern. She said Smith has been served with multiple notices of her request for a meeting. Entertainment fans are surely following this story closely, especially because of the death of Smith?s 20-year-old son who died while visiting her in a Nassau hospital three days after the baby was born on September 7th, 2006.
On Thursday, Smith buried her son. A private examiner stated Daniel Smith died of an accidental lethal combination of two antidepressants and methadone. The results of official toxicology tests and a police investigation have not been publicly released. The entertainment spotlight will continue to focus on Smith and her family as this time of intertwined tragedy and bliss shadow her and her newborn daughter.
