Anna Nicole Smith and Attorney Split

Michael R. Scott, an attorney at Callenders and Co. in Nassau, was playing the role of lead attorney for Anna Nicole Smith ever since the tragic death of her son, Daniel Smith, on September 10th. He has decided to terminate his representation of the former playmate because of disagreements between the sides regarding a commercial transaction.

Anna Nicole hired Scott after her 20-year-old son passed away in her hospital room, three days after she gave birth to her baby daughter Dannie Lynn on September 7. Scott, who was also the attorney for Daniel Smith`s estate said that the decision to quit came Tuesday after consulting with his partners.

Scott Cites disagreements with Smith`s boyfriend and longtime attorney Howard K. Stern, who claims he is the father of Anna Nicole`s newborn daughter. In the interview Scott said that "We have terminated representation of Anna Nicole Smith because of differences that have arisen in relation to strategy and matters arising out of the death of Daniel Smith."
