Who`s Your Daddy?

People speak of hidden motives and agendas that have to do with obtaining some of Anna Nicole Smith`s wealth, but two men who are claiming to be the biological father for newborn Dannie Smith, are insisting that their stubbornness to be proven the real daddy comes solely from paternal feelings for the newborn baby.

Smith`s lawyer and boyfriend, Howard K. Stern, says he is the father of Dannie Lynn Hope, born September 7, but so does Larry Birkhead, Smith`s ex-boyfriend, who has gone as far as filing a lawsuit demanding that she and the baby return to California for DNA testing, which are 99.9 percent accurate. If the DNA testings confirms Birkhead to be the biological father, then he can get visitation rights and perhaps even joint custody. He also could get a huge amount for child support, based on a formula that compares incomes.

Smith has been married twice and recently has tied an unofficial knot with boyfriend Stern. In 1985 she wed Bill Smith, her co-worker at a Texas restaurant, and gave birth to Daniel. In 1994, she married Texas oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II, when she was 26 and he was 89. He died the following year. She has since been involved in an ongoing legal dispute over his multimillion dollar estate.
