Major Salary Increase for Sheen
Son of ex-US fictional president Martin Sheen, Charlie Sheen is looking at a major increase in his salary. Following two months of negotiations, "Two and a Half Men" star Charlie Sheen is close to finalizing a new salary deal that would make him the highest-paid comedy star in television today. The sitcom "Two and a Half Men" stars Charlie as a swinging, irresponsible womanizer whose life changes when his nephew suddenly appears on his doorstep. The show became a huge hit, breathing much needed life into Charlie`s fading career.
It has been reported that Sheen will earn 350,000 US dollars per episode from Warner Bros., the producer of the CBS powerhouse comedy he stars in. The "Two and a Half Men" star is also expected to have a major profit-participation stake in the series, now in its fourth season. Sheen began renegotiating his deal in July, shortly after Warner Bros. entered lucrative deals to sell the syndication rights to the Tribune Broadcasting stations (for broadcast) and to FX (for cable), effective 2010.
