The company operates a website, regiftable.com, which tackles the controversial issue, and offers a spending alternative as the holiday season edges nearer.

Basically, the website provides consumers with a way to save money and time be applying a variety methods on gifts that they have received in the past. Re-gifting is also seen as a perfect way to provide the recipient with an item they would have liked to receive in any case.

There are a few tips on the site, such as remembering to rewrap the gift and, of course, change the gift tag, only give items that are new and in their original packaging, never re-gift one-of-a-kind or handmade items and know who gave you the item so you don`t re-gift it to the original giver.
