Duchess of York wants to Try Dancing
Ever since Sarah Ferguson married the prince of England, she has been in the limelight. Initially, the public didn?t take to the red-haired young woman ? whether it was because of her outspoken comments to the media, or whether it was because she was always being compared to the more genteel and beautiful Princess Diana. However, since the couple divorced in 1996, Sarah Ferguson has become a celebrity in her own right, showing that hard work and determination can get a person anywhere. And now she says she wants to try her luck in ?Dancing with the Stars?.
Speaking at an interview of ?Inside Edition?, Sarah commented that she would love to take part in ABC?s successful television show, ?Dancing with Stars? where famous people pair up with professional dancers to take part in an elimination-type dance contest. The recent winner of the show was three-time Super Bowl football champion, Emmitt Smith.
Pudgy Sarah became an overnight success when she became the official spokesperson for the weight-loss program, Weight Watchers. Suddenly, millions of women around the world could identify with her and she managed to groom herself down to pleasing body proportions using the program?s strategy. In 1996, Sarah published her own best-selling autobiography entitled, ?My Memoirs?. Despite the fact that she and Andrew are divorced, they are still very close friends and share in the upbringing of their two daughters ? 18 year old Princess Beatrice and 16-year-old Eugenie.
