New James Bond Wows the Critics

The new James Bond movie, ?Casino Royale? is due out in the middle of this month, but already critics have hailed actor, Daniel Craig?s performance as ?simply brilliant?. Craig, who succeeded Pierce Brosnan last year as the new James Bond, apparently has the charm and character of the famous 007 spy, but enough cheek to take the movie into newer realms.

Not every body was happy when Craig was picked to replace Brosnan and the choice has not been without controversy. There were even calls to boycott ?Casino Royale? because of the new actor. But if the opinions of the critics are anything to by, the choice was a good one. Media reviews gush over Craig?s excellent physique, his acting abilities and his charm. Critics claim that Craig manages to exude danger and unpredictability, combined with intelligent wit.

The new film apparently makes a clean break from former James Bond movies. The spy is more human, less ?super-slick? and the Daily Mirror even went so far as to say that the James Bond rulebook had been ?well and truly torn up?. Most agree that the 21st movie in the series is probably the best since ?Golden Eye? and say that Daniel Craig reminds them of Sean Connery at his best. Bond fans are anxiously waiting for the movie to be released on November 17th to see whether they agree with the critics or not.
