Titanic Star Talks about her Past Loves

In a revealing interview to Sunday?s Parade Magazine, Kate Winslet, the talented, sexy star from the blockbuster movie, ?Titanic? revealed details about the men in her past and showed how each impacted her life in his own special way. Winslet mentioned her first love, Stephen Tredre, as well as her present husband, Sam Mendes with whom she has a son.

Kate Winslet met Stephen Tredre when she was only 15 years old and he a much older 28. The two were very much in love and Winslet poignantly recalls how Tredre kept her feeling safe and secure, even helping her through extremely vulnerable patches during her school years as she battled shyness and bullying. The two eventually ended their relationship as a couple but kept in daily contact. Sadly, Tredre was diagnosed with bone cancer in 1994 and died during the opening week of ?Titanic?. Winslet recalls a lot of pain and heartbreak during that time period.

The star was married to British assistant movie director James Threapleton with whom she has a six-year-old daughter, Mia. However, after that marriage broke up, Winslet found love in the arms of Sam Mendes, a 41 year old from her old hometown. Winslet refers to her new husband ? and father of her two year old son, Joe - as ?gorgeous, sexy, talented? and feels that their love and marriage is pure fate.
