Prison Break Plot Claimed By Brothers

Fox Broadcasting, responsible for the TV hit series Prison Break, are now being accused by breaking the law themselves. Two brothers, who escaped from prison during the 1960s and were fugitives for four years, claim that Fox Broadcasting stole the idea for Prison Break from them. The brothers wrote a manuscript about their experiences and tried pitching it to producers. One of those producers worked for Fox.

The brothers filed a federal lawsuit claiming that Fox received their manuscript and based their hit series on their story. One of the brothers was wrongfully incarcerated at the age of 16, and used his older brother to help him out of jail. The story resembles the center plot line of Prison Break, and the brothers are demanding some sort of compensation. Although, in Prison Break, the younger brother frees the older one, the resemblance is quite canning.

Representatives from Fox Broadcasting said that the lawsuit did not reach them yet, and that they have nothing to comment on the matter at this point. Fox`s policy is not to comment on pending legal issues, and no statement is expected to be made. Hopefully, when things are settled between the brothers and the broadcasting network, we will know more about the issue, and if in fact Prison Break was based on the brothers` story ? perhaps learning more about the real story could shed light on future events on the series.
