Winfrey Hands Out $300,000 for Studio Audience

Participating as a spectator on Oprah Winfrey`s show is known to be profitable. The famous hostess already handed out a multiple number of prizes to her studio audience and made numerous dreams come true to many of them. The studio audience of Monday`s show did not except to walk out of the studio with $1,000 in their hands.

Winfrey gave 300 audience members a debit card with $1,000 courtesy of the Bank of America. The prize money can be used as a donation to a charitable cause. The lucky winners can give the entire sum to one person only (relatives excluded), or to spread it around to any charity organization they choose. Each and every one of them also received a DVD recorder that will enable them to tape their stories. Every good cause has its other sides, and Winfrey is hoping that the materials taped by the audience could be used on future shows.

Even though this great initiative has a practical side for the show, Winfrey believes that many hearts will be opened and that the love that can be spread with $1,000 is meaningful and can make a difference. The fact that the people can spend the entire sum on one person, or even spend $1 on 1,000 different people makes the whole thing interesting and worth looking into. It is nice to see how celebrities like Winfrey use their wealth to promote such initiatives that benefit the community, and not only benefit themselves or their business.
