Michael Jackson to Make Appearance in London
Ever since his sensational trial last year where he was accused of sexual child abuse, Michael Jackson has been living a reclusive life in Bahrain with this three children and faithful entourage. Although he was consequently acquitted of all charges against him, Jackson felt that the pressure of living under the scrutiny of the western press was getting too much for him and thus made the move in the Middle East.
Recently however, it was announced that Michael Jackson would be making a public appearance in London ? his first in the UK in 9 years ? to attend the World Music Awards. The 48 year-old star will receive the Diamond Award for his contribution to music. This award is traditionally given to artists who have sold over 100 million albums.
The 18th World Music Awards will be hosted by actress Lindsay Lohan and will take place on November 19th in London. Stars from all over the entertainment world will attend this glittering function and performers such as Mary J. Blige, Beyonce and Katie Melua will rock the stage. Last year?s award for best pop group was given to Destiny?s Child and there are already speculations on who will grab this year?s title. Organizers of the show are thrilled that Michael Jackson agreed to attend the awards, considering that he has continuously shunned the press since his trial and has been embroiled in legal battles with his ex-wife Debbie Rowe over custody of two of his three children.
