Brad and Angie Keep on Giving
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt may be new parents to a gorgeous baby girl, but the duties of parenting have not kept them from thinking of others. The most famous couple in entertainment history moved to Namibia in order to give birth to their daughter in the impoverished African country, in hopes of bringing in more tourism and awareness to the ever continuing troubles in Africa. Though this may seem like enough to do for a country, Angelina and Brad decided that they needed to do more.
The couple donated $300,000 to hospitals in Namibia to help fund new maternity equipment. The money will help treat babies at hospitals through out the Southern African Country. The couple has stated "we want to contribute to Namibia and the people who have been so gracious to us at this time". This is certainly an unbelievable contribution that Namibia is probably ecstatic about. Leon Jooste, the country`s Deputy Environment and Tourism Minister stated that the donation will contribute significantly to the health of Namibian babies.
In addition to thanking Brad and Angelina in the press, Jooste has let it slip to entertainment magazines that the couple plans on remaining in Namibia for some time while they recover from the birth. Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt is the couple`s third child, although first child together, as Angelina did adopt two children in recent years. It is has recently been revealed that their daughter will be given Namibian citizenship, which should make Angie and Brad very happy.
