Superman Plans to Defeat Entertainment Industry Curse

There is nothing quite as entertaining as watching a super-hero movie. And of course, the movies that are chock full with the most entertainment are Superman flicks. However, it seems that with the roll of Superman comes a bit of bad luck, but according to the newest super-hero, it is just plane old superstition from the entertainment industry. With a career that`s about to be launched faster than a speeding bullet, the newest Man of Steel, Brandon Routh, has already dismissed the notorious "Superman curse" which seem to plague actors who`ve gone before him.

The original TV Superman, George Reeves, died from a shotgun blast at age 45. Then the most famous Superman, Christopher Reeve, was in a tragic riding accident that left him paralyzed, and he died of health complications at the age of 52. "If something happens to me, I`ll deal with it," Brandon said. Routh admits he didn`t know about the legendary Superman curse before accepting the role and says he is determined to ignore scaremongers.

"Curse? What curse? I don`t think in those terms," he said. "I`m not going to worry about it." Gotta agree with Brandon. Dean Cain and Tom Welling seem to have no problems with it either. What Brandon needs to prepare for, is megastardom, when his debut film "Superman Returns" comes out on June 30. Watch out entertainment buffs, Brandon will probably be appearing on the silver screen quite a few times after this movie is released.
