Top Fans for Top Stars

Have you ever noticed that some of the biggest stars in the entertainment industry forget what it means to be famous? Don`t they understand that without a loyal fanbase eventually their entire careers will come crashing down? Apparently only some of the entertainment world A-listers have come to this conclusion and Johnny Depp is one of them. Hollywood hunk Johnny Depp has been voted best autograph signer according to the 14th annual survey done by Autograph Collector magazine.

This is the second year in a row that the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star landed at the top of the poll. "Many stars become bad signers once fame and fortune hit, but not Depp," said the magazine`s editor, Steve Cyrkin. "He`s even signed autographs for crowds at the airport while carrying luggage." Cyrkin also noted that George Clooney, the second top vote getter, offers something beyond penmanship. "He`ll joke as he signs, and make fun of how he looks in photos he`s handed to autograph."

On the bottom of the list, actress Cameron Diaz "may be a talented actress, but she`s persistently a terrible signer. Instead of just turning down a person`s autograph request, she`ll lecture them about how dumb autographs are." Poor Cameron, the only dumb thing here is you! Before you were a famous actress, didn`t you idolize all the biggest stars? Now you`re one of them, so treat others the way you would have liked to be treated if you didn`t manage to get to the top of the entertainment industry. Perennial bad boy Russell Crowe has been nicer to fans of late, Cyrkin also said.
