New Findings Shed Light On Da Vinci Painting
Is the age-old mystery surrounding Leonardo da Vinci`s most famous paining finally been solved? A Texas Artist, Houstonian J. Antonio Farfan claims that after researching Leonardo da Vinci`s Mona Lisa for over 12 years, clues he discovered in the ancient portrait has led him to new findings. According to information from the Hebrew and Christian bibles, Farfan says that the real name of the women in the painting is "Deborah," a little known prophet and military leader described in Judges, the seventh book in the Bible, and not Lisa Gherardini, as many scholars believe.
Farfan says the folds in the sleeves of Mona Lisa?s dress and the way she holds her hands reveal a series of numbers and letters that are the cornerstone of his findings. He says the background of the artwork is also rife with clues. The Texas man says for da Vinci, the Biblical character Deborah served as a symbol of hope for his Jewish mother, a slave, who was the object of shame, and ridicule when the famous artist?s aristocratic father snatched the boy from her care at age five, then sold her to another man.
Entitled "Cerca Trova: The Last Words of Leonardo da Vinci", Farfan?s book outlines his discoveries and describes the personal journey he took to find them. It includes diagrams and pictures that illustrate his conclusions. ?I know what I?ve found is true and I believe my conclusions constitute absolutely new and accurate information that has never been published anywhere by anyone until now. This is a dream come true for me,? he says. ?Sometimes I can hardly sleep at night.?
