Entertainment World Displays Anorexia as Beauty

The entertainment industry has done so many good things for all its fans during the years. Releasing the best films for all our entertainment pleasure, causing controversy so we can read about it in our favorite gossip magazines and making all teenage girls either hate their bodies or flaunt them like sluts. Oh wait, that`s really not a positive of the entertainment industry now is it? With so many young actresses in Hollywood turning to eating disorders to try to "fix their lives" it is not surprising that girls and women follow suit. What is surprising however, is that these entertainment moguls don`t realize the negative impact they are having on society until it is too late.

Any other grown woman who stepped on the scale and weighed less than a 5th grader would have admitted to a problem long ago. It took Nicole Richie a long time, but she has finally faced the truth. She told Vanity Fair magazine that she shudders at the thought of anybody trying to emulate her skinny look. She says, "I know I`m too thin right now, so I wouldn`t want any young girl looking at me and saying, `That`s what I want to look like.`"

"I started seeing a nutritionist and a doctor," Nicole said. "I do recognize that I have a problem, and I want to be responsible and fix it, and I`m on that path right now." Even Nicole`s doctors aren`t convinced she isn`t anorexic. In the upcoming article, one of her doctors says, "If it`s not anorexia, she should be able to gain the weight. If it ends up being anorexia, we can help her with that."
