The Simpsons are Going Strong

The Simpsons have been America`s most entertaining cartoon family for way over 15 years. And just in case you were scared that your Sunday night entertainment would soon be gone, Fox has decided that it will renew the series for 2 more years. That mean, that until 2008 all you Simpson fans will be seeing brand new episodes! The Simpsons have become the longest running cartoon series to air in prime-time TV, and have thus managed to make entertainment history!

Bart, Lisa, Homer, Marge and Maggie will be making us giggle until 2008 after US television network Fox commissioned another two series of the massively popular show. The creator of the dysfunctional family, Matt Groening, revealed last year how he didn?t want to stop making the program. "I don`t see any end in sight," he said. "I want to get to 366 [episodes] so we have one for every day of the year, including leap year.
He also said that the series would stay popular as long as it kept shocking its fans: "That`s what you`re looking for in television - surprise".

The new contract means "The Simpsons" will live to see its 400th episode in May 2007. The show?s main cast members, including Nancy Cartwright (who mainly voices Bart) and Dan Castellaneta (the voice of Homer and other characters), are expected to stay on for the new shows. Another series of animated show "King Of The Hill" has also been commissioned by Fox.
