Forbes 2006 Entertainment List

Forbes, a world renowned business and finance magazine, has recently released their top 100 entertainment stars for this year, and it is quite a list. Unlike the Forbes 500, this list does not only take into account how much each entertainment a-lister made last year, it also factors in how many times they had been in the news, on covers of magazines and how much box office appeal they have.

When scanning through the newly compiled entertainment list you may find yourself thinking that you were thrown back to the 80`s, with the #2 spot being held by the Rolling Stones and the #4 spot by U2, but it is the year 2006 and this big name bands are making a comeback, along with other huge entertainment hits. One of the biggest grossing celebs this year appears as lucky #7, Howard Stern. The shock jock managed to bring in a whopping $302 million last year thanks to a $100 million dollar contract with Sirius and an approximate $200 million bonus.

Quite possibly one of the most ironic things to occur on this list is the fact that Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston tied at #35. There is no doubt in anyone`s mind that Jennifer Aniston dislikes Angelina Jolie vehemently, and considering the fact that Angie just had a child with Jen`s ex-husband we really can`t blame her. The fact that she ended up tied with her biggest nemesis in the entertainment industry must have been a blow to her ego. Oh well, at least she didn`t score lower than the most beautiful woman in the world.
