Pee-wee Herman is Back in Town

Fifteen years ago the doors to Pee-wee`s Playhouse were closed for good. Many people believe that this kids entertainment show was removed from the airways because of Paul Reubens arrest for indecent exposure in 1991, but this is not the cause. The fact is the final season wrapped filming weeks before the arrest occurred in Florida. But few remember the years of entertainment that Pee-wee`s Playhouse provided.

Paul Reubens was basically blacklisted from the entertainment industry for just about 10 years, until his role in the 2001 film "Blow". This movie was a turning point in his career as it should the depth of his acting ability, and allowed people to recall his humorous performances as Pee-wee Herman. Fifteen years after the last episode of Pee-wee`s Playhouse aired the show is coming back to television screens across the globe.

Cartoon Network has picked up the syndication rights to the kids show and will add it to their Adult Swim lineup beginning on July 10th. The cable network plans on airing all 45 original episodes, which should provide hours of entertainment for young and old alike. In response to the re-airing of the show, Paul Reubens, 53, said "I`d say this is a dream come true".
