Jessica Should Have Asked

There are certain things that Jessica Simpson should have never asked, such as is The Chicken of the Sea tuna or chicken? But for the million stupid comments that this entertainment star has managed to say, she never asked the one question she should have: "Nick, will you sign this prenuptial agreement?" Oh well, that`s what happens when young people in Hollywood decide that life is better viewed through rose colored glasses, sadly the reality of it is, life is never as good as you hope it will be.

So, now comes the part where Jessica tries to save half of her earnings from Nick Lachey`s hungry bank account. Luckily, Jessica is teamed up with her father/manager/rep, Joe Simpson. Unluckily, the man is just a few cards shy of a deck, and thus believes that the semi-intelligent Nick Lachey will accept a measly $1.5 million divorce settlement. It is not as if the man doesn`t know how much money his soon to be ex-wife made during their marriage.

In 2004, Jessica Simpson managed to provide enough entertainment to the masses to bring in $30 million. Add in 2005, where Jess certainly made a killing with her clothing line, cosmetics and whatever else she managed to push, and you better believe that Nick stands to be receiving at least 20 times more than what he was offered by Joe. The Simpson clan is gravely misguided if they believe that Nick would accept the money to avoid court hearings.
