Tony and the Gang will Return

Tony Soprano and all his mobster friends will be returning to your television screen for 8 more episodes of the most entertaining mob show ever seen. Every season there are rumors that "The Sopranos" would be no more, but it is now official, season 6 marks the end of the show as we know it, but don`t worry entertainment fans, there will be eight more episodes to round out this season, although be prepared to wait, again!

Initially no more episodes were going to be made, however, HBO decided to extend it, thus forcing them to convince the stars to sign yet another contract. James Gandolfini and Edie Falco were the first two actors to sign for the final batch of episodes. Considering that the entire show revolves around Tony and Carmela it was essential to get them on contract to keep the integrity and entertainment value.

Michael Imperioli and Vincent Curatola have also signed deals to appear in the final eight episodes, although other key actors including Tony Sirico, who plays Paulie Walnuts and Steve Van Zandt have yet to sign. Imperioli, Christopher to all you Soprano entertainment nuts, was smart to sign on for the final episodes considering the fact that "Sopranos" won him an Emmy. Imperioli has also been appearing in other crime dramas as of late, including NBC`s "Law & Order".
