Prince Divorces His Wife, Manuela Testolini

Prince, whose popularity in the music and entertainment world does not have to be reminded, is ending the marriage with his second wife, 29-year-old Manuela Testolini. According to an entertainment magazine, Prince`s lawyer, Alan Eidsness, said that a sealed divorce action was filed on May 24 at Hennepin County District Court in the Prince`s home state of Minnesota.

The 48-year-old singer, composer, producer and songwriter (born Prince Rogers Nelson) and Manuela Testolini were married in a Jehovah`s Witness ceremony in Hawaii on December 31, 2001. Manuela Testolini, born in Toronto, Canada to an Italian father and an Egyptian mother, used to work at Paisley Park Studios, Prince`s charitable foundation. Manuela was a huge fan of Prince during her college days, when she studied for a bachelor degree in Law and Social Studies at York University in Toronto. The couple had no children together.

Prince, a talented performer of the entertainment world, who also plays most of the instruments on his albums by himself, was married to his backup singer and dancer Mayte Garcia from 1996 to 1998. Their marriage was annulled after their child died soon after birth.
