Pavarotti Won`t Stop Singing

The entertainment industry critics were not too optimistic when Luciano Pavarotti`s agent said he underwent a surgery for pancreatic cancer. The famous opera singer says he has no intention of letting his singing career end just yet. In an interview published in the Italian daily La Stampa the 70-year-old tenor said: "I have every intention of returning to singing. I want to finish my tour. I can`t give precise dates because I`ll have to discuss it with the doctors, but I think I`ll start again next year".

Pavarotti was about to leave New York to resume his farewell tour when a malignant pancreatic mass was discovered. This kind of cancer is often considered as deadly, however it seems that the famous tenor is not intended to stop his entertainment career. Even though all Pavarotti`s remaining 2006 concerts were canceled, the fans are looking forward to attend them next year.

When asked how he was feeling on his return to his New York home from the hospital, Pavarotti answered: ""Better, better, better. I`m finally at home, my home, finally out of the hospital. What can I say? It`s a marvelous feeling." In a telephone interview with La Stampa a few hours after his release from the hospital, the singer said he would to return to his native Italy in coming weeks to continue his recovery there. And we the entertainment fans have nothing left but wish Pavarotti to get well as quickly as possible.
