Jessica Biel Raises $30,000 to Help a Teenager

Jessica Biel, the top entertainment star of the famous "7th Heaven" TV show, is not only Esquire`s 2005 "The Sexiest Woman Alive". As it was reported by Denver media, the actress raised $30,000 for Molly Bloom, a teenager that lost her leg while being run over and dragged about 38 feet by a Hummer stretch limousine on a prom night. She has been undergoing a therapy in Denver hospital, and could really use the money. Jessica Biel initiated an auction for a lunch date with her in order to raise the money for the girl`s medical expenses.

The young man in a dark suite and tie who offered $30,000 for a date with the celebrity of the entertainment world Biel, identified himself only as John. "I`m a senior vice president for an oil and gas company in Denver," said he when he was brought up on the stage. Biel`s father, Jonathan Biel, told the entertainment reporters that the auction was all his daughter`s idea. "[Jessica] has this opportunity to create a buzz that would provide some support and she`s more than happy to do that", he said.

Biel herself wasn`t at the event, since she was working in Italy. Although she recorded an audio message to the winner, saying that she is a cheap date. The date will happen on August 18, when the actress will be in town. Makes you kind of wonder what else would entertainment stars "sell" in order to help people?
