Life On Umbriel: A New Novel

A new novel is out now, from the author of the famous cult classic, `Timothy`s Take-Out,` which is considered more imaginative in a different sense and is called `Life On Umbriel.` Loosely based on a comic strip the author created decades ago it follows the main characters adventures, Jarrod Morgan, a 19th century fugitive who seeks refuge at the top of one of the most inaccessible mountains in all of British Columbia. Both fantasy and realism make this novel unique.

`Life On Umbriel` is a quality novel. Not only is it appropriate for young adults, it`s perfect for them to dissect in their high school English class. A geologist (commissioned to study the weird and wonderful `Mt. Avitah`) narrates Barker`s tale in colorful prose that is a joy for the brain to process. More information about `Life On Umbriel` can be found at the author?s website.

This book is no slouch in the storytelling department, either. One of Jarrod Morgan`s most dangerous pursuers, by way of example, is a psychopathic strongman whose one goal in life is to bring the former to justice. It`s utterly fascinating to be able to reach back into this character`s childhood and chart his descent into madness. Will his enormous strength and single-minded devotion to the cause be enough to counter Morgan`s own otherworldly strength (and speed, and agility)?
