Kyle Kucek Young Fiction Writer

Kyle Kucek, a 14-year-old writer and author of `Crazed`, an experimental novel is available now. `Crazed` is not your traditional novel. Its content will surely raise a few flags - and eyebrows. Kyle Kucek introduces a group of AIDS-infected lovers with the publication of `Crazed`, cowritten with author Von Stigma and in conjunction with his publishing venue, KRK Books.

`Crazed` is an experimental love story about four druggies who fight their drug and sex addictions in order to discover the true meaning of love. The novel runs 103 pages long and includes cover art by surrealist Mike Philbin. `I`m glad I was finally able to write something experimental, especially on topics I have been pretty interested in writing about,` 14-year-old Kucek said. He also wanted to write in a genre he was fond of: bizarro (a term for weird literature and with a cult following of authors including Carlton Mellick III, Mike Philbin, Andre Duza, and inspired by the works of David Lynch among many others).

Kyle Kucek wrote `Crazed` because he had never touched the topics introduced in the novel, namely AIDS and addictions. With its publication, he was sure to raise a few flags, especially on the former title (`Sex-Crazed Maniacs Are People Too`, which he changed to suit his own tastes). `Crazed` is available for purchase at Lulu, which is also the publisher, and the independent horror bookstore Shocklines.
