Greater Joy Bowl-A-Thon

If you love to bowl, this is your chance to do so and be a part of something bigger and better! The Soul`d Out College Ministry of Greater Joy Christian Life Center in Ypsilanti, MI is sponsoring a Bowl-a-thon on February 4th, 2006 at Colonial Lanes Bowling Center Located at 1950 South Industrial Highway in Ann Arbor. Participants will be charged a flat rate of $9 which includes shoe rental.

Soul`d Out is one of the newest ministries at `The Joy`. Its mission is to encourage college students to love God with all their mind, heart, and soul. This ministry contains students from Eastern Michigan University, Washtenaw Community College, and plans to expand its scope to include the University of Michighan in the near future. Soul`d Out exploded onto the scene in October 2005 with its Washed Away Laundry drawing which donate free laundry service and laundry supplies to three fortunate college students.

`I`m very excited about the bowl-a-thon. I think it will be a great opportunity to meet some of the people in our community and get the word out about what we`re doing at Greater Joy,` stated Matasha W. Allen, the church`s Outreach Director, `It will show people the lighter side of us. If they`re interested in finding out more about who we are and what we`re about, it will be a great opportunity to fellowship with us in a relaxed environment.`
