Melissa George Stars in New Film `The Music Within`
Melissa George, the beautiful star of last year`s films The Amityville Horror and Derailed, has just been cast in the new film `The Music Within`. She will be playing opposite Ron Livingston (Office Space). `The Music Within` is based on the true story of Richard Pimentel (Ron Livingston), a brilliant Public Speaker who returns from time in Vietnam with severe hearing impairments. He finds a new purpose and direction in his life with his ground-breaking efforts on behalf of Americans with Disabilities.
George was most recently seen opposite Clive Owen in the thriller `Derailed`, and opposite Ryan Reynolds in the remake of The Amityville Horror. However, she is most well remembered for her star turn as the duplicitous Lauren Reed in Season 3 of ABC`s Alias. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband of 6 years.
`The Music Within` is Director Steven Sawalich`s first big screen foray, and is set to commence filming in early 2006. His previous work was a short film entitled `Sunday in the Park with George and Phil`, which he wrote, produced and directed.
