Best Book Art Award Goes to John Safin
Readers` Choice has chosen John Safin as the award winner for `Best Book Art`. He was very surprised to hear that his work had been nominated. He was even more surprised when he had found out he`d won. Safin has also created the covers of several other books including the science fiction book Alien Log` by Robert Farrell, and `Rehearsal` by award-winning poet Kay Meier.
In addition to creating promotional materials, graphics and web sites, Safin is also an author. His writing focuses mainly on fiction, humor, and political ravings. Several of his non-fiction articles have been published in `Building Profits` and `Constructor` magazines. Safin extends his talents to writing speeches for top CEO`s, creating educational and sales training materials, and marketing presentations. He frequently contributes articles and stories to the Dynamic Writers. Originally from Syracuse, New York, he now calls Phoenix, Arizona `home`. Safin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from SUNY Oswego and an Associates degree in Broadcasting from Onondaga Community College. Currently he is Marketing Director for one of the premier land developers in the southwest.
The first place award for Sonoran Mirage is a welcome addition to the growing list of acknowledgments this book has received. Last year, `Writer`s Digest` magazine awarded SONORAN MIRAGE a certificate of recognition as a participant of the 12th Annual Writer`s Digest International Self-Published Book Awards.
