Then you are walking in the steps of Claude Monet and reawakeing many of his passions. Monet created his home and Gardens in Giverny as an oasis for all the wonderful things life has to offer. He chose Normandy, where he was born to settle and create his special world. As he dined on the wonderful Camembert cheese of Normandy and sipped his favorite champagne or Calvados, when the right light effect was present, nothing would stop him from running to his canvases and capturing the effect. That is what Impressionism is all about, the light effect. This site allows you to experience the totality of the life of Claude Monet.
