Shakespeare wrote: "All the world`s a stage, all men and woman merely players", and the curtain rises for the play in the deceiving game of Poker. Just like the actor playing his part, it`s your actions that do the talking in Poker, rather than the cards you`re dealt with. A Good Poker player is aggressive, able to hide emotions, lie and bluff, have no sympathy even if the component can`t afford the money or about to lose. Basically a great player needs the complete opposite skills to those needed in order to have a successful relationship. Poker may have different variations but essentially it`s a game of boldness.
Poker became more popular following the introduction of the pocket camera allowing viewers to see the player`s cards in television, making the game much more accessible. Than it was introduced via the net where Poker was played between strangers who wouldn`t have had a chance to play with real live people congregating in one room. When the internet players started showing up to tournaments, the number of entrants in the main event of the Poker World Series ballooned from 631 to nearly 9,000 in four years. Players like Doyle Brunson, a Poker champion and veteran player, who is still on top of the game even at age 72, winning by his bluffing and intimidating skills, found themselves sharing the table with a new bread of players. A growing number of gamblers more accustomed to the computer screen. But as the numbers get high, the luck factor kicks in, and it`s harder to win between thousands.
Any Poker player should appreciate the purity of this game, in the game of Poker, anyone can be a player. While you won`t have the chance for a one to one basketball game with an N.B.A player, in Poker there is nothing to stop you from competing with the very best. And if you enjoy a real good run of cards, then there`s a pretty good chance that you`ll win too. So weather you`re signing in the net for a casual online Poker run, or getting all psyched for the casino - there`s no knowing as to who you`ll be up against.
