Children?s Book Teaches Stranger Danger
Living in today`s world, children aren`t the safest people in the world. Danger lurks around every corner and strangers are the source of this danger. Arming children with the necessary tools and skills regarding `stranger danger` is imperative to them should they find themselves alone for any reason.
A new book by David A. Marcotte`s, `Be Wary of Strangers`, is a children`s book which promotes the dangers of talking to, and dealing with, strangers. The main character is Henry, a little boy who finds himself in a frightful situation ? being separated from his mother at the store. There are no familiar faces around...only strangers. Should Henry go away with one of them so he can be led back to his mother?
The book is meant to inform children on ways to keep safe when around people they don?t know. The book is also meant to help parents discuss the problems of talking to strangers with their children, acting as an instructive tool for both kids and adults. All of this is achieved through wonderful illustrations and storytelling. For all parents of young children, this is definitely a must have.
