Reggae Gospel Music Meets Christianity

President of OFMB, Our Father`s Music Business, Tennyson Walters, has recently announced the release of `Reggae For Christ`, where gospel music which incorporates reggae meets Chrisianity. This album is quite unique and brings a new facet of music to light.

Reggae is not normally associated with Christ. However Walters had a vision to spread the good news of Jesus Christ worldwide and he uses different forms of music to reach those who would normally not listen to gospel music. So what do reggae music and the gospel of Christ have in common? When most people hear the words `reggae music` they immediately think of Bob Marley, one of the most famous Rastafarians to emerge from Jamaica. But if people listen to the words of most of Bob Marley?s music they will realize that he quotes regularly from the Bible.

The Jamaican born Walters grew up listening to reggae as part of his culture. Being a devout Christian, he was able to recognize the spirituality that is the underlying thread on which the music was born. Ironically, when Walters decided to do `Reggae For Christ`, God connected him to Judy Mowatt of I-Threes fame (Judy Mowatt, Rita Marley and Marcia Griffiths), former back-up singers for Bob Marley and the Wailers. Mowatt, a former Rastafarian herself is also now a devout Born Again Christian and worked with Walters on the project.
