Anastasia Clark South Florida Poet
Poet and writer, Anastasia Clark, will be one of four featured writers at an exclusive author`s event in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The event will be hosted by Alvin Sherman Library, on Saturday April 22, 2006, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Readers and aspiring writers are invited to attend.
Clark (Moore) grew up in Framingham, MA, where she served as Poet-In-Residence to the Framingham Public Schools during 1977-78. She served in the U. S. Marine Corps and also completed a Master of Science in Administration. She currently resides in Miramar, FL. Her work has appeared in numerous literary magazines: Outsider Ink, Sunpiper Press Literary Review, Penwomanship, The Ultimate Hallucination, Ascent, Wilmington Blues, VOiCE, Scrivener?s Pen, Spillway Review, Subtletea and Adagio Verse Quarterly. Her poem `Old Volcanoes`, was nominated for the Pushcart Prize. During 2001-2003 Clark served as Poetry Editor and Poetry Columnist for Epiphany Magazine: a celebration in writing.
Clark will be reading from a variety of her books published by Sun Rising Poetry Press, including Grieving With Poetry- poems written after the death of her parents, Bloodsongs- poetry about women?s issues, Skeletons and Other Complaints- poetry about life?s challenges, Vagabond Pond- poems about being or feeling like a vagabond, and Petticoat Poems- poetry celebrating the spicier side of life. After the reading, there will be a Question and Answer period. She will also be autographing books.
