Britney Spears Moves House

Hoping to make a clean break after the disastrous marriage to her husband of two years, pop star Britney Spears has reportedly bought a new luxurious house in a gated community in Beverley Hills. Spears was so enamored with the house that she immediately took possession of the property, including all the contents belonging to the ex-owner. The house, just off Mulholland Drive, cost the star $7.2-million.

Insiders from the real estate industry say that the 7,500 square foot Mediterranean style house has five bedrooms, six bathrooms and other special features such as a swimming pool, a media room, a terrace that offers an awesome view of Los Angeles and a library. Britney Spears will certainly have enough space to let her two young sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James run wild, and she has enough entertainment area to invite her new friends, including Hilton Paris, to her home.

The exclusive community is already home to several celebrities, including Ed McMahon and Gwen Stefani. Jennifer Lopez also used to live there until her home was bought over by Stefani. It remains to be seen how this latest move by Spears will be regarded by her ex-Kevin Federline who, according to reports, will have to make do with a measly $250,000 divorce settlement because of a prenuptial contract that he signed before their wedding.
