Kylie a no show at Glastonbury
Britain`s Glastonbury festival is not on singer Kylie Minogue`s schedule for 2007. Next year`s music festival organizer, Emily Davis, announced the news. This will be the second time in recent years that the Australian singer will miss out on the festival. In 2005 she did not appear for health reasons as she was then diagnosed with breast cancer. For next year the 38 year old singer stated clashes with her ongoing tour.
The organizers expressed their disappointment. "I think if she was going to do Glastonbury, she`d rework her show and I don`t think it`s going to be possible in that time frame," Davis said. The Glastonbury festival website states that the "headliners for Glastonbury next year have not been decided." Furthermore, it is not expected to feature any dominating headliners.
Many around the music scene, and fans especially, expected Minogue to appear on the final night of the festival and giving it a top name to flaunt and promote ticket sales with. With Minogue, U2, the Killers and Muse all out, the lineup is not at all clear at the moment.
