Yoko Ono Blackmailed by Chauffeur

John Lennon?s widow, Yoko Ono, has told police that her chauffeur tried to extort money from her and also threatened to kill her and her son, Sean, if she did not pay up. Charges were pending against Turkish-born Koral Karsan who threatened to publicize embarrassing photographs which he secretly took of Ono if she did not pay him $2-million.

Security officers working for Ono say that on the 26th anniversary of John Lennon?s death, Karsan left a note for his widow, including a photograph of her in her nightclothes. The note said that if Ono did not pay up the $2-million, he would publish further photographs, as well as audiotapes of her in ?private moments?. Investigators later recorded Karsan telling one of Ono?s associates that he would kill her and Sean ? her son with music icon, John Lennon.

Yoko Ono has kept her husband?s memory alive by fighting for the causes that they both believed in, including world peace and cooperation. Ever since David Mark Chapman gunned down Lennon outside his apartment building in 1980, his widow and son have commemorated the anniversary of his death by placing candles on the windowsill of their home. Yoko Ono still lives in the same apartment, the Dakota, and fans gather in Central Park, directly opposite the building, to share in the memory of his life and death each year.
