Seinfeld Star to Meet with Offended Audience

Michael Richards, ?Kramer? of Seinfeld fame, will meet with four members of the audience who took offence to his insulting tirade during a live comedy show. Since the event took place several weeks ago at the Laugh Factory night club, Richards has been on a continuous crusade to clear his name and has publicly apologized many times over. He has repeatedly stated that his outburst was fueled by anger at the hecklers in the audience and not based on racial discrimination and bigotry.

In a move manipulated by the attorney who is representing the four black members of the audience, Richards will meet with them to apologize in person and hear about the pain inflicted on them. Attorney Howard Rubenstein, who is representing Richards says that his client does not rule out a cash settlement to the four as means of contrition.

Since the event, Richards has appeared in the media alone and in the company of others in a bid to make himself heard. He has publicly apologized to civil rights leaders, including the Rev. Al Sharpton, and he has appeared on popular radio and television shows such as Jesse Jackson?s, ?Keep Hope Alive? and David Letterman?s ?Late Show?. Many don?t feel that these apologies are sincere enough, however, and suspect that Richards is only out to save his career as comedian and actor.
