McCartney Seeks Professional Help
Sir Paul McCartney, ex-Beatles singer and one of the world?s most popular entertainers, has admitted that he occasionally seeks professional help. In an interview to a British magazine, McCartney said that he has seen a psychiatrist to help him through his painful separation from his wife, Heather Mills and to deal with ?family matters?.
In May of this year, after only four years of marriage, McCartney and his model wife, Heather, announced that they were separating. The couple has a three-year-old daughter, Beatrice. McCartney has four adult children from his marriage to his late wife, Linda who died from breast cancer in 1998. The McCartney/Mills divorce has attracted huge global media attention, with many accusing Mills of marrying the star only for his money ? a fact that she has vehemently denied many times over. Mills has threatened to sue at least three British tabloids for publishing false information about the divorce.
Besides turning to a psychiatrist for help during this trying period, Paul McCartney has also said that he finds solace in writing music. "You can be in an argument, or feeling down, and if you`re lucky enough to be able to write, you go into a corner and work your way through the emotions?, McCartney was quoted as saying. It remains to be seen whether the couple will manage to end their relationship as amicably as possible, even if only for the sake of their daughter.
