Bob Dylan to Broadcast to the UK

Singer Bob Dylan has always been associated with North American music. However, the performer is due to take his popular radio show across the ocean when BBC starts to transmit his weekly show called the ?The Theme Time Radio Hour?. The United States station, XM Satellite Radio broadcasts Dylan?s show across the country.

Starting in Christmas week (23 to the 28th of December) BBC?s Radio 2 will transmit six sneak previews of Dylan?s program on a daily basis. On New Year?s Eve, BBC?s digital rock station 6 Music will transmit one more show, before it takes a regular weekly slot on 6 Music, beginning a fortnight after the New Year broadcast. The show can be heard at 9.00 pm. on Friday evenings.

Dylan?s ?The Theme Time Radio Hour? features songs that were chosen especially by the singer as his favorite music choice. It also carries an occasional weekly theme where the singer speaks about one particular subject such as whiskey, the police and even the weather. In addition, Dylan regularly performs interviews and discussions. Bob Dylan, who has sold 100 million albums, is well loved around the globe and BBC feels that his radio show will delight his fans. His show in the United States has been running since May of this year and is wildly popular.
