Sir Paul Meets his Fans
Whether it was because he wanted to improve his public image in the wake of a bitter divorce battle with her wife Heather Mills, or whether he was just missing the adoration of his fans, Sir Paul McCartney made a rare appearance in a store in London to sign his new album and meet some of the people who had spent up to two days queuing to get a glimpse of their idol.
Ex-Beatle singer, McCartney spent hours talking to fans and promoting his new live concert DVD, ?McCartney: The Space Within us?.
The media reported that hundreds of people lined up in front of Virgin Megastore in London?s Piccadilly area. Those who were brave enough to queue for over two days had a rare opportunity of meeting one of the greatest performers alive and have him personally sign a copy of his new album, ?Ecce Cor Meum? (which means ?Behold my Heart). Gushing teenagers and diehard Beatles fans from the 60s era alike sang their praises over their meeting with McCartney, who they described as modest and pleasant.
After spending over two hours meeting the public and signing over 500 autographs, McCartney left the store. The singer is going through a rough time, following an ugly divorce from his model wife, who many have accused of marrying the 64-year old for his fortunes alone. The couple shares a toddler daughter, Beatrice.
