Patrick Swayze Defends Mel Gibson
Patrick Swayze, 53, most known by his "dirty Dancing" entertainment performace, has joined several of Mel Gibson`s celebrity friends who are defending the actor, who was arrested while driving drunk and at this condition blamed Jews for the world`s wars. Swayze told in an interview to an entertainment news show that Gibson is an amazing person and cannot possibly be an anti-Semitic.
Mel Gibson, the big entertainment star, who was arrested on drunken driving charges July 28 on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California, while he sets free an angry anti-Semitic outburst on the arresting agent. The "Lethal Weapon" entertainment series star and Oscar-winning director of "Braveheart" has apologized twice for his words and admitted his long struggle with alcoholism.
Swayze, downplayed his friend`s drunken outburst and told the entertainment news show that "people say stupid things when they happen to have a few, and especially if you don`t drink any more, or have limited your drinking for a long time and all of a sudden you decide to have one too many with the boys ? you are stupid." Swayze also said the occasion certainly would not end Gibson`s career. He said: "Talent deserves to be honored. Hands deserve to be slapped if you do something stupid as well, but don`t take it too far."
