Mel Gibson Is Entering A Rehab After His Arrest

According to an entertainment magazine, Mel Gibson, an Academy Award winning actor and director who was caught DUI and arrested, is now entering rehab program. The entertainment and movies star`s troubles are not new. Gibson had been stopped twice before for reckless driving and let go.

His anti-Semitic and sexist remarks do not do well to his image, as well as the DUI. So the future of his high-profile projects came under question. Among others there is a Mayan-language film called "Apocalypto" due later this year, and a miniseries set during the Holocaust.

Mel Gibson issued a statement over the weekend with his apology for driving after drinking alcohol on Thursday night. "The arresting officer was just doing his job and I feel fortunate that I was apprehended before I caused injury to any other person," he said in the statement. "I acted like a person completely out of control when I was arrested, and said things that I do not believe to be true and which are despicable. I am deeply ashamed of everything I said, and I apologize to anyone who I have offended." The fans of the famous actor can only hope they wont get anymore entertainment of that kind from their star.
