Daniel Radcliffe, Known as Harry Potter, Will Perform on London Stage
Daniel Radcliffe, the young actor who plays Harry Potter, is conquering another part of the entertainment world and is going to perform on London stage as a psychologically disturbed stable boy in "Equus." Radcliffe, 17, will play a stable boy Alan Strang, who is interviewed by a psychiatrist after he blinds six horses with a metal spike. In this controversial play, written by Peter Shafferthe, the role requires Radcliffe to ride naked on a horse.
Daniel is holding his fans in suspense, waiting for more entertainment when the fifth Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will come out. On the stage he will star alongside Richard Griffiths, who plays his grumpy uncle in the wizard sagas.
"This is an extraordinary play and, yes, there is a scene of nudity in it, but that`s not what the play is about," says Radcliffe`s publicist Vanessa Davies. "He finishes shooting `Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix` in October or November and rehearsals are starting in January," she added. The play is expected to open in March. J.K. Rowling is now writing the seventh and final book of the hugely successful series. However, there are doubts about whether Radcliffe can continue to play the boy wizard until the end of the entertainment series.
