Breaking A Leg Entertaining

Making films sometimes requires some stunt work to be completed, and when actors in the entertainment industry take it upon themselves to do the stunt work an injury is not unheard of. Getting injured with no stunts required is also not too rare in the entertainment world. When one actor tells another to "break a leg" before hitting the stage or starting a film, they generally don`t mean it literally. However, for Napoleon Dynamite actor Jon Heder it seemed to be quite the opposite. Jon Heder says he is convinced actress Selma Blair is responsible for his broken ankle because five minutes before the accident she told him to "break a leg."

The Napoleon Dynamite actor was training for his ice-skating comedy "Blades Of Glory" and chatted with the actress, who was at the same rink taking private skating lessons. "I blame it on Selma Blair. She happened to be there the same day, in the same rink. I went up and we talked a little bit. (As I was leaving) she was like, `All right, see you -it looks like you`re doing a good job. Break a leg - just kidding! And literally five minutes later, I broke my foot. It snapped and I went `Selma!` So if I ever see her again, I`ll be like, `Your fault!`"

He says the memory of breaking his ankle still makes him shudder. "I was going into a spin, and my skate got caught in the ice and my body kept spinning." Jon stars alongside Will Ferrell in the film "Blades of Glory" about two rival Olympic men`s figure skaters who are stripped of their medals and permanently banned from men`s single competition. However, they find a loophole that will allow them to compete in pairs skating.
