Javette Helps with a Cup `O` Joe
The Victims of Hurricane Katrina will be receiving a new kind of help - warm comfort in a hot cup `o` joe. Southerner Candy Palmer-Steele, founder of Atlanta-based Javette, the first single serving gourmet coffee concentrate, felt she needed to take action. Javette stated that it has joined forces with Angel Flight Southeast in Atlanta to deliver 4000 packages of the single serving coffee concentrate to the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Javette is .25 ounces of concentrated gourmet coffee that when mixed with hot water makes a delicious cup of coffee. It is made of 100 percent Arabica coffee and conveniently packaged in single-serving, lightweight, portion control packages. Along with them, Angel Flight America is working non-stop to bring emergency workers, volunteer staff and supplies into the areas affected by the hurricane and rescuing the displaced to shelters across the nation. This organization is a nonprofit network of seven regional members that provides free air transportation to those in need of specialized medical care and in times of national crisis.
`This disaster has inspired the nation to action,` said Palmer-Steele. `I wanted to be part of the solution and also support the valiant efforts of Angel Flight in my hometown. We shouldn`t underestimate the comfort that a hot cup of coffee can provide to the victims who have lost their homes and are awaiting support.`
