Testing for Anemia at Home

For the first time ever, you can test yourself for anemia at home. The BIOSAFE Anemia Club has been officially formed by BIOSAFE Medical Technologies, Inc. to provide the patented BIOSAFE Anemia Meter at a lower price to patients who often need to test themselves for anemia. The BIOSAFE Anemia Meter, which is FDA-approved, is a hand-held, disposable blood test for anemia detection. Patients get an instant, easy-to-understand result which is as accurate as a standard laboratory test.

Anemia is a blood condition identified by a lower-than-normal number of red blood cells, usually measured by a decrease in the amount of hemoglobin. Hemoglobin is the red pigment in red blood cells that transports oxygen throughout the body. Risk factors for anemia include heavy menstrual periods, pregnancy and older age, as well as serious diseases that cause anemia such as chronic kidney disease, diabetes, heart disease, cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, and HIV.
`Our goal is to make it easier and less costly for persons suffering from Anemia to have convenient access to this quick, easy and reliable instant testing method,` said BIOSAFE`s President, David Fleisner.

The BIOSAFE Anemia Club will be operated by California-based Home Wellness Tests, an online distributor of BIOSAFE products serving the health needs of consumers as well as the special needs of persons requiring frequent testing. BIOSAFE is best known for its trademark collection methods and patented blood transport systems. The BIOSAFE Anemia Meter is the first of a series of new products that produces an immediate or instant result.

People who have diabetes, HIV, certain cancers, and various other health-related issues need anemia testing on a frequent basis. `Membership in the BIOSAFE Anemia Club will help to eliminate the need for patients to set aside time, travel to a doctor`s office, pay high doctor visit costs, and then wait hours or days for test results,` said Home Wellness Tests President, Christopher H. Warner. `The test devices will be sent directly to the patient`s home on a prearranged monthly schedule.`
