Silicon Valley Film To Sell `Night of Chupacabra`
The American film market, which will take place in November, will feature films for sale. One of the films Silicon Valley Film Ventures will try to sell to foreign distributors is `Night of Chupacabra`, an award-winning Los Gatos Filmmakers Award. It received to of these awards.
Ted Rivera and Thomas Fahrner`s independent film production and distribution company, Silicon Valley Film Ventures will sell a slate of films and media products to foreign distributors in the 2005 American Film Market (AFM) November 2nd-9th, 2005. One of the most anticipated films for sale is Silicon Valley Film Ventures first independent film project, `Night of the Chupacabra`, a 35mm feature length Sci-Fi/Comedy. This campy comedy is creating quite a stir amongst sci-fi fans and film enthusiasts at film festivals locally and internationally.
`We are very excited about being honored with `Best of Festival` awards at three film festivals in one month,` said producer, writer and director, Ted Rivera. The honors hail from the North American Science Fiction Film Festival, The International Hispanic Film Festival, and The Berkeley Video and Film Festival. With awards piling up many distributors have clamored to sell `Night of the Chupacabra`, but Tom and Ted have opted to retain the rights to their own films as well as the films of other independent filmmakers.
